What’s the Max Level Cap in CoD Black Ops 7?
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta gives fans the chance to check out the multiplayer gameplay ahead of the game’s official release next month. As is typically the case with betas, Black Ops 7‘s doesn’t give players the complete experience, with a limited set of weapons, maps, game modes, and progression available. With that in mind, some players may be wondering what the max level cap is in the CoD Black Ops 7 beta. Here’s everything you need to know so you can reach the top rank over the next two weekends.
What's the Max Level Cap in the CoD Black Ops 7 Beta?
A Small Grind Compared to the Real Deal
The max level cap in Black Ops 7‘s beta is level 20 to begin with, but during the second weekend, it will be raised to level 30. This is similar to how the level cap worked for the Black Ops 6 beta last year, giving those who manage to reach level 20 during the early access, first weekend, a reason to come back during the second weekend.
This raising of the level cap is confirmed by the Xbox Wire blog, which claims the level cap is level 30. However, having played a few games last night and looked at the progression screen, it currently only goes up to level 20.
Does Level Progression Carry Over from the Beta to Black Ops 7?
Unfortunately, no, your level progression won’t carry over into the full game. This means that even if you reach level 30 in the beta, your rank will be reset to 1 once the full game releases in November.
The good news is that this time, developer Treyarch has given players a reason to work through the levels, as there are beta rewards that will transfer over to your Black Ops 7 inventory at launch. The items and the levels they’re unlocked at are:
- Level 2: “Beta Player” Animated Emblem
- Level 6: “Gun Flex” Emote
- Level 11: “Beta Neon” Sticker
- Level 15: “Beta Beasts” Weapon Charm
- Level 20: “Beta Maverick” Wei Lin Operator Skin
- Level 20: “Beta Leader” Falkner Operator Skin
- Level 23: “Beta Survivor” Loading Screen
- Level 27: “Beta Conqueror” Calling Card
- Level 30: “Beta Legend” Weapon Blueprint – M15 Mod 0
It’s currently unclear whether you’ll have to do anything in Black Ops 7 once it releases to get your hands on these in-game rewards. However, it’s likely that these will just automatically be added to your inventory, as long as you’re playing the full game on the same account as you play the beta.
